Mommy I don't want to die!!!

Jaxon came up to me tonight scared and crying. He said "Mommy I don't want to die!" I asked him what was wrong and he said he thought he had swallowed one of his metal balls. I asked him "Well did you or didn't you?" He told me he wasn't sure. He remembered having it in his mouth but didn't remember if he took it out or swallowed it. I assured him that he wouldn't die and if he did swallow the marble, it would eventually "come out!" He laid down on the couch and was sound asleep within minutes. After he was asleep we went to count the metal marbles and none were missing.

Thoughts by the pool

I just had to write what I was thinking. I am sitting here watching Dylan and Jaxon go from the pool to the trampoline and back to the pool. Just playing together like two brothers should - without a care in the world - And I have just become overwhelmed with my love for these two little guys. I can remember before I even became pregnant with Dylan, that I wrote a poem. In the poem it talked about this amazing love that I felt for someone I had never seen or never touched. For someone I had never known and about how one day this love would be calling me Mommy. And now, after all these years, I have two amazing loves. I got to actually physically feel this love on October 28, 1998 when they put Dylan in my arms and again on May 16, 2002 when Jax came into the world. I even got to feel this love a third time and I know that love is waiting for me in heaven. What a blessed woman I am.

The Newest OU Fan

Chance is now only 7 weeks old but it's never to early to start teaching him about the Sooners!!! (Or that's what Uncle Don thinks!) The boys absolutely love having Chance in their lives. OK, Aunt Janie doesn't mind either. We thank God for bringing this precious baby into all of our lives!

First Day of School

I can't believe that school has started back! Even more, I can not believe that my DylPickle is in the 4th grade and Jax is a 1st grader! Here is a picture of them on the first day of school!

On the second day of school, I got an email from Jaxon's teacher saying that Jax was crying because he missed his Mommy! Of course I started crying at work. I sent an email to him and his teacher printed it out for him. He kept it on his desk. Later that day, she emailed me again and said Jax had just come to her and said "I can't stop looking at my note!" When Jaxon got off the bus, he ran to me and had his note in his hand. Here is his note:

Jaxon -

I wanted you to know how much I love you and how proud I am of you for being such a big boy. Mommy will see you this afternoon and you can tell me all about your day. How about Mommy having some ice cream sandwiches when you get home?

Love you sweet baby!!!!! Mommy

Yes, my baby had ice cream sandwiches AND brownies when he got home!! As for Dylan, nothing really exciting has happened these first few days of school. He got to see his "girlfriend" which seem to be the highlight of his new school year.
